Pocosin Lakes NWR

This was truly a serendipitous find. We were only seeking a rest stop during the first day of our drive home, but stumbled in to a very nicely done nature area (most likely the best our US tax dollars could buy – thanks Jessie!). Their big thing was re-introduction of the red wolf, though of course we didn’t see any. In fact the rain made it a rather quick visit in general.
