Ocracoke Light + Keepers House

The fourth and final lighthouse of the trip. Ocracoke is the oldest lighthouse still in operation in North Carolina, and one of the oldest on the Eastern coast of the United States. It was built in 1823 and stands 75 feet tall. The solid white coloration serves as its identifying mark to mariners by day, and its stationary beam that can be seen 14 miles at sea.
